READ/San Diego

This web-cast presentation is a training tool created in partnership by the California State Library and Literacyworks. It was shot on-site at READ/San Diego, the adult literacy program of the San Diego Public Library serving the City and County of San Diego.

This video presents a tutor, Jim Setterberg, and a student, Tim Hendrich, reviewing the progress they have made in their tutoring sessions and subsequently, setting new goals for the future. The goals in this video are authentic and were set by the student, Tim. The scaffolding for his goal setting is built upon the roles of family/self, worker, and community member.

A modeling of multisensory teaching and learning concludes this presentation.
